Ryne Nathaniel Gilbert came into this world on July 9th, 2009 at 2:59 P.M. He was 6 lbs, 9 1/2 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. He was a stubborn little guy, and they finally had to go in and get him out.
Ryne is named after two pretty special people. Ryne is for Ryne Sandberg, the Hall-of-Fame Second Baseman for the Chicago Cubs from 1982-1997. Nathaniel is for Ryne’s Uncle Nathan, Jamie’s brother, who passed away in 2005. He would’ve loved Ryne, I’m sure.
Ryne is a complex fellow with a refined palette. He love’s Mother’s Milk circa 2009, hates plastic and rubber molded pacifiers. He also has a taste for his fists when he starts to get hungry…the perfect appetizer for any meal, really.
